Now the summer has almost arrived ! it is the time for me to be
busy with fetes and fundays. This will include a lot of outdoor shows
with my famous Punch and Judy show.
The show is full of fun and
comedy and the traditional slapstick routines. I have had many comments
from parents who have said they have enjoyed the show as much, if not
more than the children ! This is because it has bought back many happy
memories of their childhood when they watched the show at seaside
resorts and private parties.
I use a set of puppets made by Bryan Clarke, who makes the best set of Punch and Judy figures in the world ! Bryan was the performer on Lowestoft beach for many years and has now retired from shows but is busier than ever carving his puppets to send to many countries.
The show is steeped in tradition as Mr. Punch made his first recorded appearance in England on 9th May 1662.
My wife and I performed the Punch and Judy show on Great Yarmouth beach in the 1990’s and entertained the holidaymakers as they made sandcastles and caught the sun ! on the beach. We had about three different shows every day so children and adults could come back and watch a different story each time featuring the main characters from the traditional show.
I also entertain at shopping centres with my balloon animals as well as walkabout magic or a static show, performed at set times during the day.
These shows are designed as an attraction to bring more people to galas and outdoor events as well as to bring more customers to indoor shopping centres all over the UK.
